Graduation on full force! Sweets & Designs

I was so honored and excited that Brenda would allow me to set up a Party Table for her daughter's graduation party. Knowing that I didn't have much of a profile yet, she trusted me, and it was time for me to actually show what I got. This was my first official Party Table that I was able to say, "this is business!".

I do most of my creations on my wonderful Cricut Explore Air machine (which is a love and hate relationship, only because it works when it wants to) and Adobe Photoshop.

Party Favors

Nothing was actually printed besides the photos that was bordered with black cardstock paper and placed into a magnetic photo pocket I bought off ebay for 97 cents each. I was able to connect my Cricut to write and cut the design that I wanted. To give it a more personal touch, I had Kylee send me a picture of her signature and had it cut out to paste on the Party Favor Thank You tags. Which she was really stoked about.

Advice for the Graduate

Get your guests involved in your event. I designed an Advice Card that allows guest to give the graduate all types of advice. Guests just had to fill them out and stick them in the jar. It's hilarious what kind of advice are given.

Memory Jar

Here's another way to get your guests involved. Which is really quite special. I just printed one sided cards that said "Memory Card" and left space in the back for guests to write their favorite memory with the graduate. I'm sure it'll be fun to read.

Graduation Cap Card Box

These are two square paper mache boxes that was cut up and painted up. I got lucky with the top cap box from Janet's Hallmark addiction. The cap fit perfectly on top of the box I created. During the event, I switched to Kylee's school tassel.

Money Cake

What graduate doesn't want money as a gift. Brenda surprised Kylee with this Money Cake that I put together. I couldn't find round styrofoams for the centers of the cakes, so I used round paper mache boxes and painted those black to give it a more clean look to where the bills would pop out more. The top tier was shaped into graduation cap with Kylee's picture, which turned out better than I thought. I used a total of 188 dollar bills. The cake didn't even last longer than she had anticipated. Someone wanted to double her dollar bills at the tables.
